GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS HAVE BEEN ASKED TO REVIVE THE USE OF ARABIC INSCRIPTION ON SYMBOLS

Government at all levels have been asked to encourage the use of Arabic inscription in some symbols for easy identification by substantial percentage of the Population.
A University Don Professor Salisu Shehu made the call in while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Bauchi.
Professor Salisu Shehu who is also the vice chancellor Al-Istiqama University Sumaila in kano State said when put in use ,the Arabic inscription would aid people who don’t understand English but are good in Arabic.
“Most people can’t read or write English language but if the Arabic language is revived it would assist them immensely”
He explained that in recent times people have abandoned the use of Arabic especially in educational institutions and called for its revival .
“People have left back the tradition of our four fathers hence the need to revive it for easy identification”
Professor Salisu Shehu also encouraged the use of use Arabic language among students for them to be conversant with the language.
