CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY IN THE COUNTRY URGED TO MAKE STRONG COMMITMENT TO COMPLEMENT FOOD SECURITY OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Co-operative Society in the country have been enjoined to make strong commitment to complement food security of the Federal government.
The State Chairman Apex of Nigerian Farmers Cooperative Society NANFACOS Alhaji Ibrahim Zubairu made the call at a one day zonal sensitization workshop for its members held in Bauchi.
Alhaji Ibrahim Zubairu who said sacrifice among among cooperative society members is needed in that direction to make the Society and all its subsidiaries functional to the appreciation of all and sundry for the overall benefits of farmers.
He explained that NANFACOS will ensure effective commitment to sensitize farmers on Farming towards setting Nigeria ahead of other Nation in agriculture.
” NANFACOS organise the workshop to sensitize the farmers on what cooperative entails, its benefits and how to form it as a cooperative society ”
In their separate remarks the Program Manager Bauchi State Agricultural Program Alhaji Abubakar Jafaru Ilelah represented by a Director Hakilu Ishak and the secretary Apex Farmers Ahmed said NANFACOS is committed towards improving farming activities such as production,processing, harvesting and market process among others.
In a message the National President of NANFACOS chief Nwabo Ufoma commended Bauchi State for organizing the workshop, urged Farmers in the region to get registered in a cooperative in other to access more support to improve their farming activities.
Some of the participants interviewed Umar Muhammad and Babayo Dogo who noted that the workshop is timely said it would enhance and promote economic activities among Farmers in the north east geopoliticalThe zone of the country.
